I have a working prototype for this feature, but it still needs polishing. With a bit of luck we can add it to 9.1.0 once that comes out.

Please, try this: open a terminal and then go to the "utils" folder using "cd", then type this:
./qrencode -o - -s 16 -l H -m 0 192.168.1.1 > $HOME/Desktop/test.png

Are there any errors running that command? If not, open the png and see if it looks ok:
open $HOME/Desktop/test.png

EDIT: nevermind, I have found the problem, I am going to revert to the old qrencode binary used in previous verions.
