Hi all

so I have finally setup YACreaderlibray on the qnap server via the excellent guide here:

all seems to work well.

Question is can I connect from the Mac desktop YACreaderlibray to that server for better browsing, editing etc?

Yes, you just need to share the folder where you have your library over your local network and then open the library normaly from your mac in YACReaderLibrary.

Just make sure you mount the volume using the nolock option so YACReaderLibrary can write to the DB.

im not sure I follow though. I have YACreaderlibray installed vis docker on my Qnap. When you say :
you just need to share the folder where you have your library over your local network

you mean the actually cbr files folder or the YACreaderlibray library file (a .ydb file?_

No, the root folder of your comics.

For example, if you have your library in:

/SomePath/MyComics

That's the folder you want to share.

Then in your mac you'll have something like:

/mnt/MyComics

And that's the folder you want to open with YACReaderLibrary.

YACReaderLibrary stores everything in the root folder where you create your library: /SomePath/MyComics/.yacreaderlibrary

If you need to move your comics or something, moving the whole MyComics folder will be enough.
