Is it possible to set up a remote server for reading on another pc not through the pc's IP? I have a desktop media pc set up and would like to off load the comics to the desktop from the laptop but would still like to use the yacreader library interface rather then the web interface. I looked around and all I see is remote viewing on iOS and using the web interface.

No. The library acts more or less as an advanced application launcher for the reader right now. You can get it to open comics and supply pages by typing the right adresses in your browser, but that's only a poor emulation of what the iOS app does.
