Please try a version without "7z" in the filename first. If that works, please try a version with "7z" in the filename too. Addendum: These builds have different extraction backends. I'm curious if using a different backend solves your problem or if an older version still works for you.

i fixed it, i uninstalled for the umphteenth time but this time i hunted down all the registry and all the cached and AppData folders down, i practically nuked it out of the system, the uninstaller provided with yac does't get rid of all the "leftover" data, i saw that because it kept some memory of the last configurations (as in compatibility mode and prefs of the application)

in short, used the nuclear option, now works.
