iPad freeze unresponsive when app crash

I also have this problem.. ipad 9th gen 256gb, ios 18, yac 3.32

in big files, after some time app just crush and makes ipad unusable... even i shut down app, when its restarted it doesnt work... solution is to restart or start to run it some time later...

is this possible solution in this version or should i try TF version?

I've been trying to solve this problem for some time now, but it's hard to reproduce and it seems that only a bunch of users are affected.

I tried using the exact same device, ios version and comic file and wasn't able to replicate the problem a user was having, I was lucky enough to have the exact same iPad model. I have turn all the pages in files with thousands of pages back and ford without being able to reproduce it.

The fact that iOS itself gets unresponsive makes me think this is a issue on iOS side since apps run sandboxed. It has to be some sort of leak, but instruments doesn't show a single resource being leaked.

This started with iOS 17.

But, please, give me as much context as you can, are you reading imported files? remote files from YACReaderLibrary? Are you sending the app to background while reading occasionally? etc.

And yeah, give the current TF version a try, it's now built with a different sdk version so maybe that helps.

My Library is on Macbook, but it is not related to this issue..

I have tried same file imported from Library, imortied from iCloud and imported from that ipad and result is always same ... in this case, app crash around 100th page every time... and after that only help is to restart ipad... i will send you link to file in PM...


Solution is to exit comic after 90 pages and then continue... so bug is not that big issue in functionality, but decrease usability... would be nice if its possible to find reason and fix...


Question for author... during this testing, i have got after crash two times popup with send this to app author, but i didnt manage to send it... and now i cant get it anymore... is there any way how to get it so i can send you?
