Request for iPad app to have manual rotate button

As someone who loves reading while lying down and usually read with orientation lock on, would it be possible to have a manual rotate button control so when you're reading a 2 page spread you can click the button to rotate and then you can rotate the actual iPad to landscape and when the next page is single page, you can click the button again to rotate it back to portrait.

Alternative would be a reading mode where if it's a two page spread it auto rotate to take the whole landscape area and if it's a one page, it rotates to portrait.
