My Mac library application routinely crashes during comic import. This happens whether or not I have the simplified view checked. I have run tests on my network and iMac. Both are operating properly. When the issue arises, I get a connection error.

iirc you have your comics in an external hard driver? or are you using a NAS? what file system are you using for mounting your library in your iMac?

This is hard to replicate but I was able to making it crash twice in the same line of code, hopefully this is the crash you are experiencing, let's see if I can find what it is going on....

My library is stored on a 2TB External Drive (Non-NAS), ExFAT format.

I think that it is fixed. I have been use YACReaderLibrary on macos with an external hard drive attached and I can't reproduce the crashes anymore.

The fix will be available for YAReader 9.5 / YACReader 3.0 for iOS. Hopefully I'll be able to publish the first testing versions in a few weeks.

I have improved a bunch of things in the server, so it should be now faster and more reliable.

Hmmm … I have a question related to this. How big are the comics you're importing? YACReader and YACReaderLibrary do a lot of caching in RAM which could lead to a lack of memory if you open huge comics.
My answers are not necessarily official YACReader statements but mostly represent my own opinion in technical matters.
