Is moving files and folders in the YAC Library supposed to work?

I try to drag and drop things to move them, but nothing seems to move.

Am I just supposed to move everything externally then update the library? My main concern is losing metadata and having to go through all those steps again.
The administrator has disabled public write access.

Move them in finder and then update the library. Drag and drop is for creating reading lists or add comics to tags.

Will this keep the information on whether the comic was read already?

If not is there any way to re-organize folders and keep track of what was already read?
