I have been trying all morning to fix the issue of not being able to access the remote library via iPad. I have tried all the advice given on previous forum posts, but so far nothing has been able to work for me

Most of the times the issue is related to a firewall blocking your connections.

In your Mac, use a web browser and write localhost:yourport(by default localhost:8080) in the address bar, if the server is working fine you should be able to browse your library. If you can do this, then the issue is related to your network configuration.

The firewall is set to allow YAC Reader library to accept incoming network connections and I'm able to browse my library from my computer browser

Did you try disabling completely your firewal? So we can discard any bad configuration.

Please, use the ifconfig command in a term and send me the output by e-mail.

I'm sorry, I'm not tech savvy enough to know exactly what to do with command line stuff, but I turned off the mac firewall and still am getting the same results

In the server config dialog there is a combo box with your IP address, do you have more than one address there? (unroll the combo box for checking it). In YACReaderLibrary, press the server icon for opening this dialog.

Are you trying to access your library from outside your home?
