Just uninstall the app normally from App & features like you do with any other app, the go to the install destination and make sure that the YACReader folder is gone, the you can delete all the settings by deleting this folder C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Local\YACReader

I also confirm that there's something wrong since the latest dev builds regarding refreshing libraries.
It's taking ages and if often freezes.
-string to stop the update process is also freezing the app.

(using large libraries stored on NAS)

The problem can be the library stored on a NAS depending on the speed of the network or the protocol used.

Make sure that the setting to compare dates when updating a library is disabled.

It's disabled :(

A few builds ago it wasn't a problem, my library has always been stored on a NAS.
I have one lib with 5150 items/oneshots (no subfolders)
-another one for series with subfolders (3725 subfolders)

protocol used is SMB

I just tested with the latest release version (YACReader-v9.14.2.2402143 for Windows 64bit (with 7zip and rar5 support - Qt6 build)) and I can add the libraries, update etc. It's slow but no freezing.

Are both libraries equally slow?

"Series" folder and its subfolder contains around 22K CBZs so it's just proportionally slower

Having the possibility of creating the .yacreaderlibrary folder on a different location (for example on the user's folder on a SSD) would be of great help for library performance :)

I'm doing some tests, don't know if this helps but:

If I let the library creation scan for let's say - 3000-5000 CBZs, if I click "stop" before if finishes scanning the whole folders, it takes ages to stop the process and get back to the main screen.

YACReader-v9.14.2.2402143
files on NAS as before

Quick update: I wanted to test the impact of having the .yacreaderlibrary on the NAS shares vs locally on SSD.
I mounted .yacreaderlibrary folder on my Synology that from a share on a SSD.

Scanning is the same but stopping the process is instantaneous and without freezes.

So for people storing their comics on NAS I really recommend mounting the .yacreaderlibrary folder from a local SSD share.

Curiously, switching Libraries once they're created always takes 5-10s (for the big ones).
I'd expect this to be very fast as everything is already scanned and on SSD ?
