Another maintenance operation is using this library (maintenance.lock) was created by darkkrad
Hello,
I am on Windows 10 Home x64 and had to reset my PC. YACReader no longer lets me update my libaries. The error box says: "Error creating the library: Another maintenance operation is using this library
/Media/Comics/.yacreaderlibrary/maintenance.lock)
I have uninstalled and reinstalled, tried an older version, and deleted the .yacreaderlibrary folders in my Media folders and also local AppData folder.
I'm not sure what to do next; any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Is the file still there? You need to delete that lock. Do you have the server app and YACReaderLibrary running at the same time?

I deleted the .yacreaderlibrary folder (
/Media/Comics/.yacreaderlibrary/ ) to try and start fresh so the maintenance.lock file is not there anymore. I have restarted and reinstalled but the problem still persists.
How can I tell if the server app is running?

Hello, please disregard the last message I sent.
I figured out the problem. I think the error message is incorrect, because it gives me the error even when the .yacreaderlibrary folder does not exist. When I reinstalled Windows, the read/write permissions of my external hard drive was changed. Under the drive's properties/security tab I changed ownership of the drive to administrators. This did not fix the problem. But then I ran YACReaderLibrary as Administrator, and now I have no problem creating the libraries.
