Result is server lib on mac is also NOT updated as red, it also remains three dots icon. Wish the problem was simpler UI bug

Happy to do more testing if you plan to introduce new functionalities. Streaming mode is the best there is for large libraries

There is a new setting for the server that disables covers in the remote library, it should boost the speed while browsing, could you give it a try? It is useful if you have a large library. It is a workaround until the new server/browser tandem is released, the performance will be fixed by then and covers in folders won't have an impact in performance.

Hi Luis,
Sorry for the delay again, travelling in between with ad-hoc internet access
Yes, I have tested it. It is indeed faster. Folders popping up almost instantly.
However the folders with covers are also quite fast. I had no latency before.
As a user I still prefer covers with folders since library is large and covers provide practical visual affinity.

Input for latency:
1- If I open a strip mag with 500 pages and 400 MB, there is significant waiting time and regulary times out. Not sure about the cache
2- If I turn pages too fast (bit of stress testing)- like fast forward - in such a file, it crashes.
3- At streaming mode consumes significant iPad battery
4- At library folder level no issues at all. Fast,reliable, consistent. No corruption with or with out covers.
5- Server -not so often- crashes after significant number of new additions or without any to me known reason. Couldn't find a user pattern that would help to understand the reason.

Server:
13 libraries, largest lib 250+GB
10.000+ files average page 100
total 750GB +
folder trees 1,2 to 3 largest single folder containing 600 files, average 5-100 files per folder

Client:
Almost no local import except a few files. Only streaming on an AC or N network.

For me it is impressive data management. Solid design
